15 year old Valvettithurai based Sharanja Mathyvannan has won in the MFLA (Maryland Foreign Language Association) Art Contest, an art contest for students in USA held every year organized by MFLA. The overall winner Sharanja Mathyvannan is a student of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, class of 2016.

Overall Art contest winner of MFLA in 2014 (Her art work will be used in MFLA pamphlets, book etc for a year)
When she was in 7th her art work ,a collage, was in the city hall conference room in Annapolis, MD(Maryland).
In 8th , She and her teammates , received 1st place in the regional Seapearch Robotics competition.
Again in 8th grade, she was one of the Player of the game for the National Academic League.
She had received 21 school awards.
She is. at present, in choir, she gets to perform every school holiday assembly.
She is the secretary of NSBE, which is an engineering club at her school.
She is also a member of the Environmental Club, such as Recycling, Reusing, Etc.
She had won gold medal in Badminton in regional.
