First ever antique exhibition held at Valvettithurai

Valvettithurai divisional hospital patient's welfare association on yesterday displayed materials in a first-ever antique exhibition taken place in Valvettithurai divisional hospital. The aim of the exhibition was to strengthen Valvettithurai divisional hospital patient’s welfare association, so as to further facilitate Valvettithurai divisional hospital.
Regional Director of Health services Dr.Nanthakumar and Capt.Athiroobasingam Athavan participated as the guests.
The event was headed by Dr.Surenthiran (District Medical officer, President of Valvettithurai divisional hospital patient’s welfare association) where the exhibition was formally opened by Capt.Athiroobasingam Athavan by cutting the ribbon at about 0900 hours.
A number of antiques, which have the aesthetic and historical significance of Valvettithurai and Srilankan Tamils, possessed by notable Antique collectors Mr.Menadchisundram and Mr & Mrs Nagulasigamany were displayed at the event.
Members of Valvettithurai divisional hospital patient’s welfare association, officers and employees of the hospital and well-wishers were present at the opening ceremony.
