Valvettithurai Nediyakadu Pillaiyar temple ‘Holy bath’ festival held

Valvettithurai Nediyakadu Pillaiyar Temple holy bath (‘Theertham’ in Tamil) festival held today morning at Orani beach, Valvettithurai. The chief Deity Vinayaka along with other gods was taken to Valvettithurai Orani beach from the temple at about 0800 hours, where special Puja was held in the presence of number of devotees.
The holy bath event continued till about 0930 hours. The lord expected to return to the temple in the late evening from Valvai Sri muththumariamman temple, where special traditional Tamil's instrumental event is scheduled to take place.
The annual festival of Nediyakadu Thiruchirrampala Pillaiyar temple had commenced 9 days ago, where Poonkavanam festival will be held on 31st of Aug 2015.
Nediyakadu temple is located along Point Pdero – KKS road, about 800 meter east of VVT junction.
