Former TNA MP S. Jeyanandamoorthy Passes Away at 61

Former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Member of Parliament for the Batticaloa District, S. Jeyanandamoorthy, passed away yesterday afternoon (21)at the age of 61.
He had been receiving treatment at the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital for the past two weeks due to ill health. He passed away today while undergoing treatment, According to family sources,
Before entering politics, Jeyanandamoorthy served as a school teacher and later worked as the Batticaloa District correspondent for Virakesari and TamilNet.
He entered Parliament after contesting the 2004 General Election under the banner of the Tamil National Alliance and represented the Batticaloa District as a Member of Parliament until 2010.
