"Thaipongal” Annual kite festival 2025, jointly organized by “Valvai Vikneswara community Centre’ and 'Valvai Uthayasooriyan sports club' commences today at Valvettithurai, Uthayasooriyan beach, Jaffna, witnessing participation of thousands of people from various parts of Jaffna Peninsula.
The event headed by Mr.V. Kavichelvan (President of the Community Centre) commenced at about 1300 hours, where Mr. Nagalingam Vethanayagan (Governor, Northern province) participates as Chief Guest and Mr. S. Sathyaselan (Divisional Secretariat, Vadamaradchi North) and Mr.Kiso Kumar (Secratry, Valvettithurai Urban council) participates as special guest.
Over hundred of kites, which are three dimensional on shape, expexted take part in the competition.
